Today is the day training becomes accessory to piloting instead of the main goal; I am finally ceasing to be a prospective ASURA Pilot. Today, I was promoted to Pilot, such that this will become my first week in true service, and I have been told it will be the date of my first deployment to the field. My Epinoia System was installed three days ago, and there have been many — too many — simulations in preparation for this since I was “recruited.” This will be the first time that I will enter the cockpit with any intention to actually pilot, though.

Major Katzenstein says that I have no choice but to go. The Enemy will be here soon. I have to stop them.
